Can’t really tell what exactly this Tumblr thing is all about yet, but I’m giving it a shot. I’d like to have a spot where we can easily leave short updates about band shit, especially while on tour.

So far, we’ve had no luck with this. First, we tried this with a ‘normal’ blog and it was a complete failure. See here:

Myspace is still ok for putting your songs on but the blog feature is clunky. I mean, it’s cool that you can indicate your mood is “Froggy!” or whatever, and have a little froggy face to go with it, but beyond that it’s lacking.

Twitter I actually like, but you can only do so much with 140 characters. And Facebook, I don’t really get.

Ugh, I sound like a fucking idiot talking about this. “These exciting Web 2.0 synergies offer the band limitless opportunities to connect with blah blah”…. that might be what it *sounds* like, but that’s not what I mean! I’m just looking for a spot to say “The show last night was fun and holy shit you’ll never believe what happened at the Waffle House afterwards.” That sort of thing.

Thus: Tumblr. Let’s see how it goes!
